Some Brief Description of my CD

Hey again,
Well I sent the CD out just now and It should be to you shortly. I put 16 songs on it and hope everyone enjoys it.

There is a wide variety of genres of music on the CD so hopefully everyone will have a couple of songs that they like. I realize by doing that that some of the songs wont appeal to some; such as the two contemporary bluegrass tunes I put on. Anyway, this CD is pretty much my favorite song from each of the bands I am currently listening to right now.

I hope that you can dig some instrumentals because there are a total of four instrumental songs on the CD (some a little different). Sometimes you have to give those a little time and they will grow on you but its good stuff anyway.

I couldn't exactly theme my mix like Joey did but I did try to make it flow as much as possible, which pretty much meant I attempted to make the transitions from song to song as smooth as possible. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy it and leave me some comments about what you think.

Russell

I haven't received or listened to the CD yet, but here are my initial impressions.

First of all, I didn't realize that you liked Enya that much. I mean, I guess they're good for relaxing with a nice white wine spritzer while you peruse the latest edition of US Weekly, but they kind of bring down the energy of the album.

I can actually hear your hair on this CD, scary.

While I understand that your inclusion of instrumental tracks is meant to make you seem sophisticated, an instrumental version of "My Humps" doesn't quite mesh with that ideal.

I like the Des Champs band as much as the next guy, but eight tracks? Seriously?

I can tell from some of these tracks that you own the CD "Monster Ballads", can you make me a copy? (Because every badboy has his soft side!)

I hope you don't take this critical appraisal too roughly. I did enjoy some of the tracks (I can't listen to "Desperado" without thinking of all the CP slowdances I enjoyed as a youth).

Now to make some brief thought on CD:

I thoroughly enjoyed "Garden State Soundtrack Vol. 2"

I said to Courtney, "Who knew that Russell was this hip?"

It's great, I really enjoyed most of the tracks. Good work.
