well i am working on my cd...i hope to have it out Tuesday the 13th at the latest. i've been super busy....but its so fine. hope everyone is having a super fall day!

Some Brief Description of my CD

Hey again,
Well I sent the CD out just now and It should be to you shortly. I put 16 songs on it and hope everyone enjoys it.

There is a wide variety of genres of music on the CD so hopefully everyone will have a couple of songs that they like. I realize by doing that that some of the songs wont appeal to some; such as the two contemporary bluegrass tunes I put on. Anyway, this CD is pretty much my favorite song from each of the bands I am currently listening to right now.

I hope that you can dig some instrumentals because there are a total of four instrumental songs on the CD (some a little different). Sometimes you have to give those a little time and they will grow on you but its good stuff anyway.

I couldn't exactly theme my mix like Joey did but I did try to make it flow as much as possible, which pretty much meant I attempted to make the transitions from song to song as smooth as possible. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy it and leave me some comments about what you think.

Hey everyone,
Just to let everyone know the CD is being mailed today. Sorry for the slight delay but I'm working on it! Oh and if you didn't know already, Nancy and I have switched months so her CD will be next month instead.
I will post an extensive description of my CD in a few days. I'm sorry to say my resources aren't quite up to par with Joey's and wont exactly be as professional, but its still some good music.

First mix is out the door.....

Well, I've sent off the first mix in our little music club here, hopefully it will reach you all soon.

I enjoy making mix tapes, and though I'm no expert on it, I really try to make each mix I make tell a story of some sort. I had the idea that became this mix during this summer....and I never got around to putting it together until now, the idea changed quite a bit from its first inception, but I wont say anymore until everyone has a chance to discuss it, I'd like everyone to form their own opinions.

Like I said I'm not an expert on making mixes, but I do have my own set of rules and procedures for making one. I guess thats one of the exciting things about this club to me, I look forward to everyone developing their own rules, their own style, to making a mix, and seeing those ideas play out in the final product.

One thing I prefer people do when I make them a mix is to not look at the "track list" until they've listened to the mix through at least once. I feel like part of the excitement of getting a mix from someone is not knowing what's coming next. Maybe there will be some artists you recognize, maybe there will be some songs you've heard before but never knew who performed them....thats part of the fun for me. But that's just the way I prefer people to listen to a mix, if you like looking at the track listing before hand, then so be it.

Anyway, look for the september mix in the mail and post your thoughts here. I hope you all can find something about it that you enjoy, but be honest. I look forward to hearing your comments.
